PAUL DELLEFIELD, Veteran of Air Force, mechanic


Paul L. Dellefield, 55, of Elyria, died Thursday at his home following a

nine-month illness.


Born in 1939, he was a lifelong resident of Elyria.


Mr. Dellefield served four years in the U.S. Air Force and was  stationed at

Great  Falls, Mont., from 1959-63. He worked for five years at Calspan at NASA

Lewis Research Center where he was a test-lab mechanic. Before working for

Calspan, he was a mechanic at Arrow International in Cleveland.


He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and golfing.


He is survived by his wife, Margaret (nee Kontras) of Elyria; three daughters,

Michelle Dawson of Lorain, Lisa Caraballo of Elyria and Melinda Peterson of

Cleveland; two sons, John Kolesar of Elyria and Phillip Kolesar of Cleveland;

a sister, Eleanor English of Albuquerque,N.M., his mother, Mildred M.

Dellefield (nee Boynton), of Albuguerge; and four grandchildren.


Friends may call 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the


Curtis-Scheuffler-Busch Family Chapel. A private family internment will be

held at the Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
