Melrose Florida-James A Moir,84, of Melrose Florida, formerly of Lorain, died
Wednesday, June 13,2001, at his home.He was born
in 1917 in Lorain.
Moir was a veteran of World War II, serving 44 months in the South Pacific.
He was employed as a social worker in Lorain County, and was also a partner in the L-O Paint Store,
Lorain. He retired to Lehigh Acres, Fla., in 1980, later moving to Melrose, Fla
. He enjoyed
golf, gardening and his family. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner.Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Pat of Melrose; his daughters Leslie Harper of
Melrose,
Fla., Marcia Beltzer of St. Charles, Mich., Patricia Fischer of Vermilion, Margaret
''Peg''
Moir of Mansfield and Lisa Cardoza of Ft. Myers, Fla.; and his son, Dale of Lisle,
Ill.; 13
grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one brother; and one sister.
Private services will be held. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Cemetery, Lorain.
