HARRIS W. DELLEFIELD


Harris W. Dellefield, 83, a native and life-long resident of Lorain, died Friday at

St. Joseph Hospital following a lingering illness.


He was employed as general foreman at US Steel Lorain-Cuyahoga Works in

the Number 4 Blooming Mill. He retired in 1966.


Mr. Dellefield was a member of First Congregational Church, where he was a

member of the Fellowship Supper Club, Senior Fellowship Club, where he

was a member of the golf and bowling leaques; the Management Club of US

Steel and AARP.


He was also a past Commodore and life member of Lorain Yacht Club.


He was an active boatsman, both sailing and powerboating.


Mr. Dellefield is survived by his wife Dorothy F. (nee Forrest),


with whom he would have celebrated his 62nd wedding anniversary Nov. 5; a

son David of Alexandria, Virginia; daughters Mrs. william (Darlyne) Cook of

Lorain and Mrs. Vincent (Diane) Ruma of Avon Lake; eight grandchildren; and

two great-grandsons.

Friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Walter A. Frey Funeral

Home, 700 West Erie Avenue, Lorain.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at First


Congregational Church with Rev. Mr. Randall W. Hase, Pastor,

officiating.

Burial will be at Ridgehill Memorial Park, Lorain.
