                                Florence H Sick 

 

AMHERST TOWNSHIP -- Florence H. Sick (nee Rosa), 101, of Amherst Township,formerly of Brownhelm Township, died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at Kingston of Vermilion.

She was born May 22, 1902, in Henrietta Township. She lived in Henrietta Township

until 1927 and from there lived in Brownhelm and Amherst.

Mrs. Sick was an active member of Old Stone United Methodist Church, where she

taught Sunday

School and belonged to the choir, a branch of the United Methodist Women, and the

Dorcas Circle.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and reading.

Survivors include her daughter, Esther Schmitkons of Amherst Township; and six

grandchildren, five

great-grandchildren, and four nieces and five nephews. She was preceded in death

by her husband,

Raymond M., in 1985; son, Alan W., in 2002; sister, Linna Bates; and brothers Clyde

and Bill Rosa.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Old Stone United Methodist Church,

Amherst.

Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, Amherst, is handling arrangements.
