Alynne Carol Hasenflue Grauel
HURON -- Alynne Carol Grauel (nee Hasenflue), 65, of Huron, died Friday, Dec.
3, 2004, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness. She
was born Oct. 1, 1939, in Lorain. She lived the past 12 years in Huron, moving from
Vermilion. Mrs. Grauel had been employed as the general manager for WLRO, Lorain, was in
sales for the Vermilion Photo Journal and had done sales and bookkeeping for various
businesses. She was a member of Huron United Methodist Church and Eastern Stars. She
enjoyed working with the Harrison boat racing team, biking, cooking, gardening and leisure
boating. Survivors include daughters Tammy Mathews of Charlotte, N.C., and Dawn Swineford
of Huron; brother, Rich Hasenflue of South Amherst; and two grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jack Grauel, in 1991; parents, Allen and Dorys (nee
Colmer) Hasenflue; daughter Penny Harrison; and son, Todd Harrison. Friends may call
Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South St., Vermilion.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Roger Skelley-Watts, pastor
of Huron United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove
Cemetery, Vermilion.
